Building a New Home? Call a Realtor first.

Make sure you know what lies ahead before you begin. A realtor can led the way in a new home construction project

If you’re considering building your dream home, it’s easy to get lost in the new construction process.  You know you need a construction company, and an architect, and maybe an engineer.  And you can’t wait to talk colors with the painter!

And maybe finding a Realtor is the last thing on your mind.

Building your dream home requires many people on your team.  We are Roger and Nancy Hassler, of The Hassler Group of RE/MAX Crossroads.  And we have been helping people in and near the Medina area find their dream homes for over 24 years.  We have helped make a lot of “Dreams Come True”.

Here are FIVE GREAT REASONS you need to talk to a Realtor first, before you engage in building your Dream Home.

1).  You’re going to need someone on your side.  You’ll be signing contracts, making decisions, choosing options and making plans.  These are all opportunities to get yourself in a little deeper than you thought.  And since the people who are asking you to make your decisions are also in business for themselves…who then is on your side?  No one is trying to rip you off, but it doesn’t hurt to have someone who’s full attention is to make sure you are making the right decisions to make your dream come true. A Real Estate Agent can be that friend.

2). Do you need help finding a…? Face it…you’ve got enough on your plate without having to make sure you have the right construction company, the right architect, the right plan…and in the right location.  Your dreams aren’t cookie cutter.  You’re going to need the right resources to make the right things happen.  A knowledgeable Real Estate Agent knows the ins and outs, and the relationships and reputations of the best and worst options in town.

3). Your personal advisor should be a Real Estate Agent:  Not a builders agent, or a contractors agent, or certainly not a 007 secret agent.  These folks are good and honest people, but they aren’t trained and expert in the fine points of real estate transactions. And even though you aren’t buying someone else’s real estate, make no mistake…this is a real estate transaction.  Get a real estate agent on your team who can give you advice and guidance through the process.  This is what we at The Hassler Group do!

4). Put passion on your side.  This one is personal.  We LOVE new construction projects. We love the creativity, the lack of constraints, the “never been done before” aspect of new construction. We’ve been involved in a lot of them, and we take ownership in every one we are a part of.  When you turn the key on your dream home for the very first time, we’ll be right there with you.  Helping make your dreams come true is a dream come true for us.  And you’re going to want someone with you who feels that way about your success.

5). Selling your current home.  This one is obvious.  Why wouldn’t you use the same Realtor to help you with your existing home sale along with all of the things noted above?  A good Realtor, knowledgeable in new construction, can  work with you in selling your existing home in coordination with the building of your dream home.

Call us at The Hassler Group today, or click here to send us an email to ask a question.  We sincerely love to help people like you make your new Dream Home Construction project come true.
