Medina County is an easy commute to downtown Cleveland, Akron, Canton and Columbus.
Medina County Shopping
Medina County has a mixture of stores for your dining and shopping pleasure. Anywhere from formal to fast food is available. The communities have national chains, to locally owned restaurants. Hunan´s, Main Street Grill, Panera´s, Longhorn and Miss Molly´s Tea Shop are just a few of the resturants.
The charm of the town squares with all of the speciality shops bring a quaintness that is hard to find in big cities. Wal-Mart,Super Kmart and Target are also here and of course there are two malls Southpark and Summit close by.
Medina Local Hospitals
Medina General Hospital is the largest hospital in the county. Wadsworth and Lodi hospitals are close by. The Cleveland Clinic is about 45 minutes away. There is easy access to Interstate 71 and Interstate 77. There is public transportation and the both Cleveland Hopkins and Akron Canton airports are close by.
Medina County Recreation
There is a variety of recreation options in Medina County. There are multiple recreation centers, golf courses (Weymouth Country Club, Shale Creek, Fox Meadow country Club, Medina Country Club, and Bunker Hill) dance classes, ice skating, and gymnastics. There is also parks, which offers, picnic areas, hiking trails, playgrounds, bike trails, fishing, and camping. There is a multitude of museums such as Elm Farm Dairy Musuem, Historical society museums and a Toy and Train museum.
Medina County is an agricultural county. Quite a few of the towns, and villages have Farmers Markets usually held in the town square. There are also many alpaca farms especially in Litchfield.
